Description

Police Park is one of the largest parks in eastern Tehran, split into two sections by a highway. Its northern section, with its extensive variety of trees, is a haven for species rarely found elsewhere in the city, such as the Στραβολαίμης and Radde's Accentor . Additionally, the park's dense shrubs provide an ideal habitat for uncommon warblers like the Σχοινοποταμίδα and Θαμνοτριβιτούρα.

Access

Located in the northeast of Tehran, the easiest way to reach Police Park is by private car, especially since it is so close to the highway. There is a patking lot at park's enterance which might get full in early mornings, but you still have a lot of aption around the park.

It is possible to get to Police Park nearby via public transport; you can take the metro to Shahid Bagheri Station, then catch a short cab ride to the park and walk just a few minutes to enter. Police Park covers a vast area. It takes at least one or two hours just to explore the northern section, which is the most significant part for birdwatching.
