Description
The small Rif wetland is located in the area of Melrakkaslétta on the Snaefellsnes peninsula in northwest Iceland. It is a breeding area for many birds and has an ideal location between the coast and the mountains. Among the birds you can encounter are Κηλιδοβούτι, Χειμωνοβουτηχτάρι, (Κοινή) Πουπουλόπαπια, Ερυθρόλαιμος Φαλαρόποδας, Θαλασσοπρίστης, Δαχτυλιδόχηνα, Αγριόκυκνος, Χιονογλάρονο, Αμμοσφυριχτής, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Λιμόζα, Κοκκινοσκέλης, Γερακοληστόγλαρος, Ισλανδόγλαρος and Glaucous Gull.
