Description
Örfirisey is a reliable spot to observe the birdlife of the Reykjavík bay. Especially in the colder times of the year. Bringing your telescope, a scan of the bay and horizon might produce birds like Χιονόπαπια, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Θαλασσοκόρακας, Σούλα (του Βορά), Little Auk, Harlequin Duck and Θαλασσοπρίστης. You might also see Κηλιδοβούτι and Παγοβούτι. Örfirsey has also hosted a male White-winged Scoter every winter since 2014, proving it as a reliable spot for this vagrant. Overhead, Χιονοτσίχλονο might pass, and along the rocks there might be Black Guillemot.
