Description
Rhodes is a very dry island, smaller birds breed early before vegetation dies back. At Lindos you can find the usual mediterranean versions of swifts, swallows, warblers and Ασπροκωλίνα. Birds of prey include Βραχοκιρκίνεζο, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Κιρκινέζι (especially at the acropolis), (Ευρωπαϊκός) Γκιώνης and Αετογερακίνα. Other birds you can encounter are (Ξανθός) Κρυπτοτσικνιάς, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Πετροτουρλίδα, Κοκκινοκεφαλάς, Δενδροχελίδονο and (Κοινή) Νανοσκαλίδρα.

Lindos is located on the south-east coast on Rhodes, 40 km south of Rhodes town. You can take a bus or coach from Rhodes town to Lindos.
