Description

The best time for birding is in winter. Then you can spot many species of waterfowl like Σταχτόχηνα, Ασπρομέτωπη Χήνα, , Καστανόπαπια, (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρόπαπια, Καπακλής, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Σφυριχτάρι, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Κιρκίρι, (Ευρασιατικό) Φερεντίνι, Γκισάρι or Μαυροκέφαλη Πάπια. But also many other aquatic birds like Χειμωνοβουτηχτάρι, Κοκκινοβουτηχτάρι, Μαυροβουτηχτάρι or different species of Gulls.

You can park at a big parking place at the south west of the lake. The best way to explore the area is walking.
