Many different birds can be observed in the salt marshes and on the beach. Please note that most of the salt marsh is a protected area of the national park and may not be entered without permission!

In the area you can observe Καλαμόκιρκος, , Σταχτοπετρόκλης, Κοκκινοσκέλης, (Ευρασιατική) Τουρλίδα, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Στρειδοφάγος and (Κοινή) Σιταρήθρα. In summer, Αμμοσφυριχτής and other typical beach birds can be observed on the beach.
