Floodplain and natural hillside forests on the steep slopes of the Kochertal. There is also a small reservoir with reed beds.
Nature reserve Vogelhalde Sindringen-Ohrnberg is a protected area of around 216 hectares. It is located along a 5 km long cycle path between the villages of Sindringen and Ohrnberg and offers the opportunity to observe birds on the reservoir, in the forest and in the reed beds. The area is generally well visible and easy to reach by bike. There is also a colony of Σταχτοτσικνιάς breeding in the area.
Vogelhalde Sindringen - Ohrnberg can only be reached on foot or by bike. Cars can be parked in the nearby villages of Sindringen or Ohrnberg. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The route indicated on the map is about 5 km one way.
