Description
Vogelfreistätte Mittlere Isarstauseen is one of the most valuable water bird sanctuaries in Bavaria. It has mixed habitats supporting a variety of species. The almost six square kilometers nature reserve has a high nature conservation significance. The water bodies are not used for recreational purposes and hunting is prohibited in the entire protected area. Among the birds you can see are (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αλκυόνη, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Νεροκοτσέλα, (Κοκκινόλαιμο) Νανοβουτηχτάρι, Πρασινοκέφαλη Πάπια, Μαυροκέφαλη Πάπια, Γκισάρι, (Ευρασιατικό) Φερεντίνι, Θαλασσοπρίστης, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κορμοράνος, Σταχτοτσικνιάς, Αργυροτσικνιάς, Καλαμόκιρκος and (Κοινό) Ξεφτέρι.
