Description

Struffelt is a nature reserve of heath and moorland. The Struffeltkopf (450 m above sea level) gives the area its name. In addition to the heather moor, which provides a habitat for numerous birds, there is a forest and a reservoir right next to it. It would be difficult to discover fewer than 30 different bird species here. Interesting birds include the Μαυρολαίμης, Δεντροκελάδα, Μαύρος Δρυοκολάπτης, Πυροβασιλίσκος, Σταχτομυγοχάφτης and Μαυρομυγοχάφτης.
