Description
The Rombergpark, is an extensive municipal botanical garden and arboretum in Dortmund. With its total area of 68 hectares the Rombergpark is one of the largest botanical gardens in the world. It is always freely open. There are many trails to follow and many ways to go. You can spot birds like Πράσινος Δρυοκολάπτης, Πευκοδρυοκολάπτης, Λοφιοπαπαδίτσα, Καμποδεντροβάτης, Φασσοπερίστερο or Κοκκινολαίμης. By the little sea, you can get very close to birds like Canada Goose or Αρκοπετείναρο. It is also a good spot for a (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αλκυόνη.

Access
The Rombergpark is located in southern Dortmund. In the north of the park is a big car park. Press P in the map for directions to the parking. From the parking you can walk through the area. An even better option is to reach the area with a bike. You can leave your bike at any of the entrances, since cycling is not allowed in the Botanical Garden.
