Description
The Leipheimer Moos is a beautiful moorland with wide areas for Καλαμόκιρκος as well as the rare Ορτυκομάνα, Κιτρινοσουσουράδα, Θαμνοτριλιστής and migratory Λιβαδοκελάδα. In the reed areas north of the border ditch Γαλαζολαίμης likes to sing, in the cattle pastures Μαυρολαίμης and along the boardwalk circuit (the boardwalk itself is unfortunately closed) Στραβολαίμης, (Κοινό) Αηδόνι, (Κοινό) Μπεκατσίνι, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Καλημάνα, Θαμνοτσιροβάκος, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κούκος, (Κοινός) Φασιανός and Μαύρος Δρυοκολάπτης can be heard or seen.
Also worth a visit in autumn/winter when there are Χειμωνόκιρκος, Διπλοκεφαλάς, Βαλτόμπουφος, Ασπρομέτωπη Χήνα and (Ευρωπαϊκός) Γερανός.
