On the river Hase, the canal (Stichkanal) that runs parallel to it and on several clearing ponds you can observe ducks, divers and other water bird species. Among the birds you can expect are Καπακλής, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Κιρκίρι, Γκισάρι, Μαυροκέφαλη Πάπια, Χηνοπρίστης, (Κοκκινόλαιμο) Νανοβουτηχτάρι, Αργυροτσικνιάς, Σταχτοτσικνιάς, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κορμοράνος and Λευκός Πελαργός.

Access
A good starting point for a walk is Dornierstrasse in the industrial and port area. Alternatively, you can park at the other end of the route on »To Pye« road. Click on the P in the map to get directions. The walking route indicated on the map is about 7 km long.
