Description
The Dürbheimer Moos includes open water areas with mud islands, fescue grasslands and sedge bulrushes, reed beds, sedge reeds, cabbage thistle meadows and wetland fallows. Depending on the water levels and time of year, a variety of ducks ( (Ευρωπαϊκό) Κιρκίρι, Μαυροκέφαλη Πάπια) and waders can be seen. The meadows are good for Λευκός Πελαργός. Μαυρολαίμης, Θαμνοτριλιστής and many (Μεγάλο) Καλαμοτσίχλονο, Χρυσοτσίχλονο breed in the smaller bushes and reed beds in the area.
The higher trees along the northern lake are good for thrushes ((Κοινός) Κότσυφας, (Κοινή) Τσίχλα, Κεδρότσιχλα, Κοκκινότσιχλα) and many other small passerines. In spring and autumn Dürbheimer Moos is a (Ευρωπαϊκό) Ψαρόνι roosting site, with sometimes over a thousand (Ευρωπαϊκό) Ψαρόνι.

Access
The Dürbheimer Moos is located directly to the west of the village of Dürbheim. Park at the marked area, there is a good parking spot for at least ten cars. Click on the P in the map for directions. Best to walk on foot (or by bicycle) from there. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 3,5 km.
