The Auersmacher field is home to the highest density of (Κοινή) Σιταρήθρα in the entire Saarland. It is a large field with many information boards and hiking trails and cyclists, walkers and birders share the area. Other birds you can expect are Βραχοκιρκίνεζο, Ψαλιδιάρης, (Κοινή) Γερακίνα, Τσίφτης and Πράσινος Δρυοκολάπτης.
