Abtskücher Teich is a lake with surrounding bushes. The pond and stream provide a good environment for various waterfowl and water-loving birds. You can see (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αλκυόνη, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κορμοράνος, Σταχτοτσικνιάς, (Βουβός) Κύκνος, Πευκοδρυοκολάπτης, Πρασινοκέφαλη Πάπια and (Κοινή) Φαλαρίδα. Also Nutrias live here. In the surrounding fields, you can also see Πυροβασιλίσκος, Χρυσοβασιλίσκος, Σπιτοσπουργίτης, Διπλοσάϊνο and (Κοινή) Γερακίνα.

The Abtskücher Teich is located 3 km west of the town of Velbert. Parking lots are nearby. Press P on the map for directions to a parking. There is a footpath around the pond (about 1 km).
