Big city park of 110 hectares with woodland, lakes and other wet parts. Good for relaxed birding and making bird pics.
The Heron Park is located in the centre of the town of Villeneuve-d'Ascq. The 110 hectares of water and greenery that make up the Heron Park form a remarkable link between the city and the agricultural land, a vast area of nature in the metropolis. The park is good for relaxed birding. Among the birds you can see are of course Σταχτοτσικνιάς , but also (Ευρωπαϊκός) Συκοφάγος, Πρασινοκέφαλη Πάπια, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κούκος, Πευκοδρυοκολάπτης and Πράσινος Δρυοκολάπτης.

Easy to reach from the cit and also a parking area in the park.
