Description
Marais du Douhet is particularly interesting because it brings together a great diversity of species, sometimes in high density and at all times of the year.
Among the nesting birds are the Κοκκινοσκέλης, the Καλαμοκανάς, the (Ευρωπαϊκό) Ψευταηδόνι, the (Ευρωπαϊκή) Κιστικόλη, the Βραχοκιρκίνεζο or the Βαρβάρα. During migration, the Κόκκινος Φαλαρόποδας or the Καρβουνιάρης are passing through. In winter, Δαχτυλιδόχηνα, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Βροχοπούλι and (Ευρωπαϊκή) Καλημάνα are stationed on the site.
All year round shorebirds, ducks, gulls, herons, grebes and many others are present.
