Le Port is a beautiful area with many interesting birds. At low tide the mudflats along the Douve attract for example Λασποσκαλίδρα , Καλαμόκιρκος , (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρομύτα , (Κοινός) Λευκοτσικνιάς , (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αλκυόνη , Θαλασσοσφυριχτής and Αμμοσφυριχτής. At the edge of the river you can walk along a bit and discover a lot of birds in the reeds.

Le Port is located 6 km northeast of the town of Carentan. You can park close to the picnic spot. Press P on the map for directions. The picnic area has a bench and table.
