Old gravel pits and gravel pits still in use. The ponds with their reed beds attract many bird species during migration.
Le Grand Colombier is very interesting during migration times for waterbirds that make a stopover. Numerous species of waders have been found here. Herons and egrets are common ( (Ευρασιατική) Χαλκόκοτα has already be seen), Βαρβάρα regularly bred, as does a pair of Γαλαζολαίμης. Passerines and raptors can be found along the ponds.
Parking is quite a probleme here. You can do it either along the small road going north along the ponds, or before the main roundabout. Try to find the best viewpoints along the roads, as the views regularly change according to the vegetation.
