Description

Île d'Hoedic is a tiny island off the southern coast of Brittany with dunes, beaches, grasslands and rocky shores. The island is just 2.5 km long and 1 km wide, car-free and best explored on foot. The island is good for the observation of pelagic and coastal species, particularly during spring migration and autumn migration. Île d'Hoedic offers a peaceful birdwatching experience, ideal for lovers of nature and tranquility.

L'ile permet l'observation d'espèces pélagiques et cotières notament lors des migration post-nuptiales et pré-nuptiales. Hoedic offre une expérience paisible, idéale pour les amateurs de nature et de tranquillité.

Access

Île d'Hoedic is located off the southern coast of Bretagne between Quiberon and Belle-Île. The island can only be reached by boat. Ferries run year-round from Quiberon with the ocean company. From April to September, boarding is possible from: Le Croisic, La Turbale, Vannes, Port-Navalo. The crossing takes just over an hour, and it’s wise to book tickets in advance, especially during peak season (See the link below). The circular walking route shown on the map is about 9 km.

Français: Pour acceder à l'ile vous pouvez embarquer toute l'année depuis Quiberon auprès de la compagnie océane. D'avril à septembre des embarquements sont possibles depuis : le Croisic, la Turbale, Vannes, POrt-Navalo. Le sentier pédestre circulaire indiqué sur la carte mesure environ 9 km.
