Description
Etang David is a place filled with bush birds, especially in springtime: Μαυροσκούφης, (Κοινό) Αηδόνι, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Τρυγόνι are easy to find, as well as (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αλκυόνη and (Ευρασιατικό) Φερεντίνι on the pond. Woodpeckers can be found on deciduous trees: Πευκοδρυοκολάπτης, Νανοδρυοκολάπτης, Πράσινος Δρυοκολάπτης, Μαύρος Δρυοκολάπτης.
The place is also a nesting area for herons: (Κοινός) Νυχτοκόρακας, Σταχτοτσικνιάς, Γελαδάρης can be spotted from the pond side.
Some raptors: Τσίφτης, Δεντρογέρακο and with chance Ψαλιδιάρης and Φιδαετός are easy to spot hunting around.
Unusual birds like Υφάντρα are possible during a walk across this picturesque little place.
