Description
The Crussol area makes it possible to observe typically Mediterranean species with ease. In the winter season, its cliffs, quarries and ruins also serve as a wintering area for some Τοιχοδρόμος and Χιονοψάλτης. The area consists of forests of holm oaks and cliffs dominating the Rhône Valley. This rocky apron also serves as a natural landmark for migratory birds which can be abundant during migration periods. Ideally placed, the site is very easy to access and very close to the Autoroute du Soleil. Crussol can be discovered in less than an hour by staying in the ruins of the castle, or in a few hours by going around the massif.

A la saison hivernale, ses falaises, carrières et ruines servent également de zone d'hivernage pour quelques Τοιχοδρόμος et Χιονοψάλτης . Elle est partagée entre fôrets de Chênes verts et falaises dominants la Vallée du Rhône. Cet apron rocheux, sert également de repère naturel pour les oiseaux migrateurs qui peuvent être abondants lors des périodes de migration. Idéalement placé, le site est très facile d'accès et très proche de l'autoroute du soleil. Crussol peut-être découvert en moins d'une heure en restant dans les ruines du château, ou en quelques heures en faisant le tour du massif.

Access
From the A7, exit at Valence and head towards Guilherand-Granges then Saint-Péray. Once in the town of Saint-Péray, road signs indicate the direction to follow to get to the site of the Château de Crussol. A small car park at the foot of the castle allows you to park. Once on site, it is strongly recommended to wear walking shoes because the terrain is slippery and steep. The circular trail that is shown on the map is about 7 km long.

Français: Depuis l'A7, il faut sortir au niveau de Valence et se rendre direction Guilherand-Granges puis Saint-Péray. Une fois arrivé sur la commune de Saint-Péray, des panneaux de signalisation indique la direction à suivre pour se rendre sur le site du Château de Crussol. Un petit parking au pied du château permet de se garer. Une fois sur site, il est vivement conseillé de s'équiper de chaussures de marche car le terrain est glissant et escarpé.

The Γαλαζοκότσυφας is to be found in the cliffs below the castle. The Μαυροφτέρι and Μαυροτσιροβάκος are abundantly present in all the open areas of the circuit. In winter, you should look for groups of Χιονοψάλτης in the ruins of the castle. Several Τοιχοδρόμος spend the winter season between the cliffs and the quarries located south of the route. All other species breed on or in the immediate vicinity of the site.

En hiver, il faut chercher les groupes d' Χιονοψάλτης dans les ruines du château. Plusieurs Τοιχοδρόμος passent la mauvaise saison entre les falaises et les carrières situées au sud du tracé.
