Description
Bassin de la Motte is a restored ecological zone in Lieusaint. Once the site of an old sugar factory, the area has been transformed into a natural area with a bird observatory, wooden footbridges, pedestrian paths, educational orientation tables and panoramic viewpoints. The site is migratory stopover for Καλαμοκανάς and many other waders.

Access
Bassin de la Motte is located in Lieusaint. The site is accessible via the A5 or N104 highways. Parking is available along Rue de la Motte. Press P on the map for directions. Public transport: If you're coming from Paris, the easiest route is by RER D train to Lieusaint–Moissy station. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the basin. You’ll head south along Rue de la Gare, then turn onto Rue de la Motte. The circular walking route around the area is about 2,5 km.
