Description
This area along the Vltava River is not a very beautiful place, but you can find some interesting birds there and there are many ducks and swans on this part of the river. Mandarin Duck is common. Also common are Μαυροκέφαλη Πάπια, (Κοκκινόλαιμο) Νανοβουτηχτάρι, (Βουβός) Κύκνος, Πρασινοκέφαλη Πάπια, Καστανοκέφαλος Γλάρος, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αλκυόνη, Καρβουνιάρης and Πράσινος Δρυοκολάπτης. In winter Ασημόγλαρος της Κασπίας and (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κορμοράνος are regulars. If you have a bit of luck, you can also find Καπακλής. In the winter, some rarer ducks like (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρόπαπια, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Σφυριχτάρι, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Βουκεφάλα, Χηνοπρίστης or (Ευρασιατικό) Φερεντίνι can be found there.

This area of the river is located 8 km south from the city center of Prague. Easy to reach from Prague by tram.
