Description
There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare Μουστακαλής and there are nesting some other rare birds like (Ευρωπαϊκός) Μικροτσικνιάς , Γαλαζολαίμης and (Κοινή) Ροδόσπιζα. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example Σταχτοπετρόκλης , Καλαμοτριλιστής , Μαυροκέφαλος Γλάρος , Ψαραετός and sometimes even Νεροποταμίδα and Ψαθοποταμίδα.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like Λασποσκαλίδρα , Μαχητής , (Κοινή) Νανοσκαλίδρα , Δρεπανοσκαλίδρα , Μαυρότρυγγας , Λασπότρυγγας and some other. Also you can observe Στικτοπουλάδα or (Ευρωπαϊκή) Νεροκοτσέλα.
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching Μουστακαλής and if you are lucky you can see wintering (Ευρασιατικός) Ήταυρος or Twite .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: Ερυθρόλαιμος Φαλαρόποδας , Χαλικοκυλιστής , Ρωσότρυγγας , (Ευρωπαϊκή) Λιμόζα , Κοκκινοσκαλίδρα , Αετόγλαρος , Χειμωνογλάρονο , Χιονογλάρονο , Δενδροχελίδονο , Στεπόκιρκος , Sabine's Gull , Νεροποταμίδα , Ψαθοποταμίδα and many others.

Access
The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
