Description
Dubový Rybník is a shallow pond where rare birds like (Ευρωπαϊκός) Θαλασσαετός or Ψαραετός sometimes show up. Among the breeding birds are Καλαμόκιρκος, (Κοινό) Μπεκατσίνι, Τσιχλοποταμίδα and Σταχτοτσικνιάς. In February and March, when they arrive from wintering grounds there is a chance to see (Ευρωπαϊκός) Γερανός. Focus your binoculars on the reed beds and surrounding meadows to find them. All year round you can watch the hunting efforts of the (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αλκυόνη or Σταχτοτσικνιάς on the pond.
