The Retencija Blato ticklist is 216 species (see link below). There is an island/peninsula which is a popular bird roost Species seen include (Κοινή) Ροδόσπιζα, Σκαρθάκι, Δεντροσταρήθρα, Δεντροσπουργίτης, Σταχτόπαπια, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αβοκέτα, Στραβολαίμης, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Μελισσοφάγος, Πορφυροτσικνιάς, (Ευρωπαϊκη) Βαλτόπαπια, Στεπόκιρκος and Καλαμόκιρκος. Note: As of 2022 the website says 'temporarily closed'. Unclear if this applies only to fishing, or all visitors.
