The area of Romboutswerve is part of a large meadow complex close to the sea. In the bumpy grassland there are also numerous drainage ditches. In this area migratory and wintering birds such as Pink-footed Goose, Ασπρομέτωπη Χήνα and (Ευρωπαϊκό) Σφυριχτάρι can be seen. Among the breeding birds in the area are (Ευρωπαϊκή) Καλημάνα , (Ευρωπαϊκή) Λιμόζα and Βαρβάρα.

Train to Bruges and then Bus 43 / Bruges - Damme - Oostkerke. By car: there is free parking space on the outskirts of the little town Damme. It takes only a short walk from the parking to reach the area. So from the parking you can walk or take a bicycle.
