During winter and spring the wetland and meadows of Reymere en Paardenweide are good feeding and resting grounds for geese and ducks including Barnacle Goose, Ψαλίδα (του Βορά), (Ευρωπαϊκή) Σαρσέλα, Βαρβάρα, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Σφυριχτάρι and (Ευρωπαϊκό) Κιρκίρι. Also many other birds. For example (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αλκυόνη, Νανοδρυοκολάπτης, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Καλημάνα and Ποταμοσφυριχτής.

You can park your car at the carpark of the GC Groendal in Merelbeke (Brandegemse Ham 5) or see the P on the map. There is also direct bus accces to GC Groenendal from the trainstation of Ghent or Merelbeke.
