Plateau du Gerny is an area of open fields surrounded by bushes. Ψαλιδιάρης and Τσίφτης are frequent. Annual observations of Βουνοσφυριχτής, Λιβαδόκιρκος, Ωχροκελάδα and sometimes (Ευρωπαϊκός) Γερανός on the ground. Rare visiors that have been observed in the area are Διπλοκελάδα, Κοκκινοκελάδα, Ελατοτσίχλονο, Βλαχοτσίχλονο, Χιονοτσίχλονο, Τσαλαπετεινός, Χιονογερακίνα, Στεπόκιρκος, Γερακαετός, Έλανος and (Ευρωπαϊκό) Μαυροκιρκίνεζο.

You can visit the main part of Plateau du Gerny by car but the eastern part is forbidden for cars. The circular route indicated on the map is about 8 km.
