Most of the time people visit this nature reserve during the summer. But also during the winter and migration period you can see intersting bird species. The area is famous for the (Ευρωπαϊκό) Γιδοβύζι which you can see during the summer but in the winter you can see the Διπλοκεφαλάς. Other birds you can encounter in the area are (Ευρωπαϊκή) Βουκεφάλα, Ψαραετός, Δεντρογέρακο, Νανογέρακο, Μαύρος Πελαργός, Δεντροτσοπανάκος, (Κοινός) Κόρακας, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Γερανός, Μαύρος Δρυοκολάπτης and Χουχουριστής. Rare visitors are (Ευρωπαϊκός) Θαλασσαετός, Ωχροκελάδα, Πορφυροτσικνιάς and Καλαμοκανάς.
