The Botanical Garden is not well maintained and resembles a real forest. It is rarely visited by tourists or locals, so there are many forest birds, and it is very peaceful. Common forest birds found in Armenia are present, but rare species for the region, such as Δρυομυγοχάφτης and Σκαρθάκι, also nest in the area.

Access
Vanadzor Botanical Garden is located on the southern outskirts of Vanadzor. The best way to get there is by taxi, as public transport does not go there. Press P on the map for directions. At first glance, the area may seem abandoned, and the central entrance is closed, but this is not the case. You just need to push the small door to the right of the gate.
