Immediately west from the city of Shkoder on Shkodra Lake is the only colony of Μουστακογλάρονο breeding in Shkodra Lake and Albania.
The nesting place can only be accessed by boat and with a proffesional guide due to the restriction as a protected zone and not to disturb the breeding colony. You can park your car in the area and ask for a guide with small boat.
