Scottish Seabird Centre is located ideally for seawatching of nesting Papageitaucher on Craigleith Island, half a mile offshore, and Basstölpel on the Bass Rock. Plus waders in autumn and seabirds in winter. Meerstrandläufer, Steinwälzer, Tordalk, Trottellumme, Krabbentaucher, Sterntaucher, Eisente and skuas. Nearby, boat trips leave for the Bass Rock Basstölpel colony and for seal and dolphin trips.

The car park at the centre which fills quickly in summer, allow plenty of time to park. Click on the P in the map to gert directions. Link below has details of other car parks. Bus stop right by the quay.

Enjoyable small museum, mostley focussed on kids. Nice way to view the gannets on the island without disturbing them. Unfornunatly the coloney was hit pretty bad by the avian influenza when I visited. Hopefully they can recover!
