Beschreibung

Situated on high moorland, the airfield has a minor road running through the middle. The site has a reputation of having many unusual Neartic wader species on it's bird list. The site is VERY open with runways and large areas of grassland, on the South West of the the site is extensive conifer woodland. Unusually this site is best watched from a vehicle, enabling watchers to get closer. BE WARNED, DO NOT under any circumstances walk or drive onto ANY RUNWAYS, your car insurance will be invalid if you do so. The airfield is an emergency airfield and aircraft can land at any time, it is also used by the military for training purposes.

Zugang

The Airfield is closer to the A39, look for roadsigns to Davidstow Airfield North West of Camelford. To the South East the A30 is further away, on this road look for roadsigns to the village of Alturnun, through minor roads to the airfield. As already stated the road bisecting the airfield has many stopping places, thereby using the car as your hide, the woods to the south west can be accessed on minor roads.
