The Lake Turna landscape is beautiful especially in spring with the blooming of the grasslands. On the other hand, it is an important bird area in Turkey. It is typical Eastern Anatolian landscape with this well known wetland which atracts many bird species. Also, Steinortolan is a local bird species that you can see on the road. You can see more of these steppe species on the road and around the lake. Rotflügel-Gimpel might be on the road site.

You can reach Lake Turna by car. There is no public transport. Best way to explore the surroundings and the lake is with a telescope. Also, you can walk partly around the lake. Click on a P in the map for directions or coordinates.
