The Sommêtres site is located on a cliff overlooking the Doubs and offers a 270 ° view from east to southwest. The Wood Pigeon Pass is without doubt one of the best in Switzerland. The other migrators, especially the birds of prey, have been followed since the beginning of the 1990s. Emblematic species of the region can be seen or heard (Wanderfalke, Uhu, Rotmilan, Wespenbussard among others).

Français: Site de migration important dans le canton du Jura, meilleur site de passage en Suisse pour le Pigeon ramier. Le site des Sommêtres se trouve sur une falaise surplombant le Doubs et offre une vue à 270° de l'est au sud ouest. Le passage du Pigeon ramier est sans doute un des meilleurs de Suisse. Les autres migrateurs, surtout les rapaces sont suivis depuis le début des années 1990. Des espèces emblématiques de la région peuvent être vus ou entendus (Faucon pèlerin, Grand-duc d'Europe, Milan royal, entre autres)

De facto access via a car park located above (north-east) the village of Noirmont (JU), at a place called "Crau-loup". A signposted path indicates the Sommêtres. 20 to 30 minutes of walking are necessary, with ascent and descent of approximately 200 stairs. Another access via the village of Muriaux (JU), sign indicating the site from the bridge overhanging the road and the railway track.

Français: L'accès se fait par un parking situé au dessus (nord-est) du village du Noirmont (JU), au lieu dit le "Crau-loup". Un sentier balisé indique les Sommêtres. 20 à 30 minutes de marche sont nécessaires, avec montée et descente de 200 marches d'escalier environ. Autre accès par le village de Muriaux (JU), panneau indiquant le site depuis le pont surplombant la route et la voie de chemin de fer.
