Acherbiela is a small nature reserve. The Wiedehopf is being reintroduced in the area. Spring migration often offers surprises ( Brachpieper, Rotfußfalke, Feldlerche and Heidelerche). In winter sometimes Alpenkrähe and Ringdrossel. Steinadler and Bartgeier are also possible when the weather is bad. Beautiful circular route over dry steppe with nature-friendly agriculture. Among the birds you can see in the area are Wiedehopf, Gartenrotschwanz, Zwergohreule, Alpendohle, Alpenkrähe, Steinadler, Grünspecht, Berglaubsänger, Misteldrossel and Schwanzmeise.

Public transport: Bus from Brig train station to Brig Biela. Then walk about 30 minutes in the direction of Termen. Circular walking route from the bus between 1.5 and 2.5 hours, depending on the route.
