Beschreibung
Vindelfjällen is a large reserve which can only be visited on foot. The famous Kungsleden walking trail runs through this area. Falkenraubmöwe, Mornellregenpfeifer, Goldregenpfeifer and Alpenstrandläufer can easily be seen on the fjälls. In the taiga forests, Unglückshäher and Moorschneehuhn can often be found. Gerfalke and Polarbirkenzeisig are scarce but can sometimes be seen in the area.

Zugang
The best place to visit this area is to park the car along the Tjulträskvägen (gps: 65.968090, 16.067258). You can walk a route (~2km) up the mountain on the other side of the road from the parking place, it is called Ammarfjället. Don't forget your boots, because it can be quite wet! Another parking place is on the end of Höbäcken (reindeer slaughtering place) and walk up to fjälls called Björkfjället. Click on a P in the map to get directions.
