Örtofta is a inland site that consists of a number of ponds. Were to watch birds is determined by the levels of water in them. In the surrounding bushes and landscape other birds than those attracted by the ponds can be seen, fex Wanderfalke , Baumfalke and Feldschwirl.
The nutritious water in the ponds draw a variety of shorebirds, especially tringa waders but also calidri fex Temminckstrandläufer , Sumpfläufer but also Kampfläufer. But even more rare visitors have been seen, fex Graubrust-Strandläufer, Großer Schlammläufer and Spitzschwanz-Strandläufer. Except waders the site sometimes offers Schwarzhalstaucher.

If going by car, drive to Örtofta station, take Centralgatan, turn left on Löddeåvägen and finally in to Brovägen and park by the stream.
