Its location as a inland area makes it mainly a migration site. For example Knäkente and its reliable for Temminckstrandläufer and hosts other waders that migrate over land. In early - mid may some occasional Doppelschnepfe display before heading north. Some summers Rohrschwirl or Drosselrohrsänger is singing from the reeds. In autumn the area shows big flocks of geese and sometimes more rare species as Kurzschnabelgans and Rothalsgans.
