In April/May hundreds of gulls and terns can be seen migrating along the coast. Among these there can sometimes pass a few rarer spiecies like Zwergmöwe and Trauerseeschwalbe. Zugang

The area is about 35 kilometers east of Norrköping. To reach it you have to take Arkösundsvägen from Norrköping the turn left to Lönövägen where you reach the Lönö lighthouse after 11 kilometers. There is parking space just before the houses, next to a field. It is about a 1 km long walk from the parking spot to the lighthouse. The best spot for birdwatching is at the lighthouse but there are other good spots along Lönövägen.

Zusätzliche Informationen

Since it is a migration locale mainly it might be empty when birds are not migrating and large amounts of birds usually do not rest here since it is the raptor and geese are the most numerous migrants. This means it might seem quite bird empty.
