Beschreibung

Linsellsjön is a lake surrounded by forest and is nice for a short stop if you are in the area or pass by. The lake has a number of boulders and small islands. As the lake is rich in fish you can often observe Prachttaucher, Fischadler and terns. The season begins in April with Singschwan, Mittelsäger, Prachttaucher, Goldregenpfeifer and Grünschenkel. In May, more ducks such as Pfeifente, Krickente, Trauerente and, with a bit of luck Sterntaucher can be found then. More waders stop by, such as Grünschenkel and Waldwasserläufer. Gulls and terns are also arriving. In July, waders can be seen on their autumn migration, including Temminckstrandläufer and Grünschenkel. Otherwise, it is divers and various water birds that stay throughout the summer, even Zwergmöwe have been seen.

Zugang

Linsellsjön is located on road 84, 27 km northwest of Sveg or 4 km east of Linsell. The Linsellsjön bathing area is signposted from the road. After about 250 metres you reach the car park and from there you can see the lake. If there are bathers on the beach, walk towards the headland on the right, past the summer cottage. There you can see large parts of the lake without being disturbed by bathers.
