Beschreibung

Lindänget has two distinct habitat types: an open wet meadow along the shores of Lake Orsasjön in the south and the woodland in the north. The area's main natural value are the wet meadows with its rich bird life of both resting migratory birds and breeding birds. During the migration of birds, a large variety of ducks, waders and passerines can be seen in the area. Lindänget has a platform for bird watching with nice views of the meadows and the lake. The platform is located in the southern part of the area, along Lisselhedsvägen. 1 km north of the platform there is a bird watching tower.

In the spring, ducks and waders gather in the shallow bay. The migration of birds normally culminates at the end of April. Hunting Wanderfalke and Sumpfohreule are seen annually. The fields attract many different birds. In May, waders such as Grünschenkel and Rotschenkel can be seen. Doppelschnepfe are seen some years. The autumn migration of birds culminates at the turn of the month August / September and is dominated by Wiesenpieper and Rohrammer. Blaukehlchen and Rotkehlpieper are seen regularly. Also Zwergschnepfe. A small number of birds of prey pass by. A whole range of rarities have been found over the years.
