Lillängsgölen is easily accessible by a bird observation tower. The lake is best from May to June when the breeding birds arrive. In the reed Schilfrohrsänger, Wasserralle and Rohrammer breed. On the coastal wetlands Kranich, Waldschnepfe Bekassine and Kiebitz breed. Sterntaucher, Ohrentaucher, Stockente, Krickente, Singschwan and Schellente breed on the lake. Some years Waldwasserläufer, Tafelente, Kanadagans, Rohrweihe, andBaumfalke breed.
In the forest around many pine favouring birds breed, some more common are Birkhuhn, Haubenmeise, Neuntöter, Auerhuhn, Heckenbraunelle, Wendehals, Kleinspecht, Buntspecht, Schwarzspecht, Zilpzalp, Fischadler, Sperber, and Mäusebussard.

Lillängsgölen is located 18 km northeast of Eksjö. There is a small parking lot next to the road. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The trail to the birding tower (500 m) is not clearly marked.
