Beschreibung
Hallands Väderö is an island that since 1958 has been a nature reserve due to its valuable old beech-forest, unusual fungi and large bird populations. Many of the varied rocky and sandy beaches are excellent bathing spots. Some coastal sections and skerries are reserved for seals and nesting seabirds. Gulls and other seabirds are common and many Eiderente breed on the island. It is also the only place on the west coast of Sweden, where Gryllteiste, Tordalk and Trottellumme all three breed. But you can also find birds like Steinschmätzer, Goldammer, Klappergrasmücke, Bluthänfling, Gartenrotschwanz, Braunkehlchen and Sprosser.

Zugang
During the summer season small ferries transport people to the island from Torekov (see the link below for tickets and time table). There are no permanent residents on the island, but many cabins from older times remain on the island and some can be rented for overnight accommodations. There are several marked hiking trails on the island.
