The area around Puyarruego is beautiful for walking and bird watching. You can hike up the mountains or along the river or canyon. Among the birds you can encounter in the area are Bartgeier, Gänsegeier, Rotmilan, Schwarzmilan, Wiedehopf, Bienenfresser, Pirol and Nachtigall.

You can park along the road near Puyarruego or start your walk from Camping Valle Añisclo. The suggested walk on the map is 8 km long (4 km there and 4 km back) and follows the valley of the river Bellós. But there are many other possibilities for walks and hikes.
