From the picturesque Puerto de Carril, you can see the nearby Isla de Cortegada. Birds like Brandseeschwalbe and seagulls often rest on the wooden stakes from the dock. It is not uncommon to see Mantelmöwe and Heringsmöwe. The most frequent are Mittelmeermöwe and Lachmöwe. You can also see Dreizehenmöwe and Schwarzkopfmöwe. Also Basstölpel. The frequency of Krähenscharbe and Alcidae like Trottellumme, Tordalk or shearwaters makes the place a special place. The terrestrial birdlife is much less interesting, although it does add species to the watch list.
