El Salto del Nervión is the highest waterfall in Spain. The water only falls in times of rain (best times to see the waterfall are spring and autumn). The Mirador del Salto del Nervión is located on Mount Santiago. After a walk along a pleasant path through a beech forest, you can see Gänsegeier flying over the cliffs of the waterfall. Also good for observing other birds of prey and birds like Alpenkrähe, Kolkrabe and Felsenschwalbe.

Espagnol: Nacimiento del Nervión; salto de agua de 222 metros de altura (solo baja agua en épocas de lluvia, deshielo o tras tormentas). Zona de avistamiento de Gänsegeier. Ubicado en el Monte de Santiago, paseo por agradable camino por bosque de hayas, puedes ver Gänsegeier volando sobre los cortados del salto de agua.

From the center of the village of Orduña, take the A-2625 road until you find the entrance to Mount Santiago. It has several areas where you can park, the closest one being 2 km from the waterfall. Click on a P in the map for directions.
