Like the rest of the wetlands in the Santander Bay, the Marismas del Conde are home to numerous waders and seabirds, as well as a resting place for migratory birds. It is not a very popular place, so it is an extremely pleasant walk away from the hustle and bustle of the towns that surround the bay. In this area there is a combination of wetland, with its typical species such as Graureiher and Rotschenkel, and grasslands, with its typical species, such as Schwarzkehlchen and Schwarzmilan. The presence of a pair of Neuntöter, a pair of Stelzenläufer and at least one Fischadler stand out.

Espagnol: Las Marismas del Conde son un área de humedales que se encuentra en la Ría de Cubas, al este de la Bahía de Santander. Como el resto de humedales del arco de la Bahía de Santander, las Marismas del Conde son hogar de numerosas aves limícolas y marinas, así como lugar de reposo de aves migratorias. Se trata de un lugar poco popular, por lo que es un paseo sumamente agradable al margen del bullicio de los núcleos que rodean la Bahía. En este espacio se produce una combinación de humedal, con sus especies típicas como Graureiher o Rotschenkel, y pradera, con sus especies típicas, como Schwarzkehlchen o Schwarzmilan. Destaca la presencia de una pareja de Neuntöter, de un par de parejas de Stelzenläufer y de, al menos, una Fischadler.

The access is not too complex, although some parts of the promenade may not be suitable for everyone. Either from Pedreña or from Rubayo, you can park a short distance from some observation points that are accessible to everyone.
